秋老虎發威，9月各地氣溫依舊熱爆，讓台電今(15)日的尖峰備轉容量率罕見降到3.44%，為近3年來最低點，電力安全餘裕警示燈號亮起「供電警戒」的紅燈，台電呼籲民眾要節約用電。

今天中午1點44分，用電量來到3420萬千瓦，尖峰備轉容量率降到3.44%，供電餘裕只剩下117.7萬千瓦。

台電主管表示，高雄南部電廠在高雄氣爆之後停機，至今尚未恢復發電，林口火力電廠也有多部機組屆齡除役，估計9月份電力供應能力將年減330萬千瓦，相當3部大型核能機組電力。

目前台電已延後部分發電機組年度大修時間，並啟動燃料較貴的備用機組因應用電高峰，若再有1座大型發電機組跳電，將進入「警戒運轉」狀態。

台電主管指出，由於遷管作業目前還待高雄市政府同意才能進行，預計南部火力電廠最快也要等到11月才能發電。此外，部分大潭、通霄電廠、興達電廠機組進行例行檢修或大修作業，這部分影響的發電量約203萬瓩。
