中央銀行公布，8月人民幣存款2,952億元續創歷史新高，月增人民幣22.18億元、增幅僅0.76%，人民幣存款成長明顯趨緩。

國內人民幣資金池遲遲未能突破3,000億元，連八個月卡在「2」字頭裹足不前，央行外匯局副局長顏輝煌解釋，人民幣市場逐漸成熟，去化管道增加，保險業拿存款等自有資金投資寶島債、點心債，使人民幣存款穩健成長，未來不太可能再大起大落。
