台北慈濟醫院今天晚上發聲明表示，周夢蝶因多重器官衰竭病逝。另外，文壇計劃籌募「周夢蝶詩獎」，以鼓勵文學創作。

台北慈濟醫院聲明表示，周夢蝶於4月2日晚間8時35分，因膽管結石合併感染發燒，經急診住入台北慈濟醫院。醫療團隊積極搶救，並於4月14日實施膽道結石手術。

醫院說，周夢蝶年事已高，術後恢復不理想，在法定代理人及眾多學生的商量下，希望以最莊嚴、安詳的方式讓周夢蝶走完人生最後一程。

慈濟醫院說，今天下午2時48分，周夢蝶因肺炎合併敗血症，造成多重器官衰竭，病逝於台北慈濟醫院，享壽94歲。周夢蝶的晚輩及學生都隨侍在側，虔誠助念。

新北市政府文化局傍晚也派出藝文推廣科專員，前往台北慈濟醫院協助，周夢蝶的學生從下午3時起，在入殮室設立簡易靈堂，將誦經助念直到深夜，祝老師一路好走。

周夢蝶在國內現代詩壇，具啟蒙與指標地位，詩壇與文壇多人對於周夢蝶的過世表達不捨，也有人想要發起成立「周夢蝶詩獎」，希望以獎學金的方式，鼓勵文學創作，不過籌募基金方式及相關細節仍要研商，目前暫以治喪事宜優先。(中央社)
