2012年倫敦奧運奪銀，之後卻因傷沉寂，2014年仁川亞運，許淑淨終於復出，還打破世界紀錄拿下金牌，這般夢幻情節，她可是連想都沒想過。

「沒想過會有這一天。」：許淑淨說：「被左大腿傷勢困擾很久，去年的世錦賽就因為這樣沒辦法比。」

許淑淨在第三次嘗試挺舉舉起132公斤，和對手趙常玲一同締造世界紀錄，「我其實不知道耶！我只是想持續壓迫她，不知道那是世界紀錄。」許淑淨笑說。

完成132公斤挺舉後，許淑淨興奮地在台上握拳慶祝，還和教練蔡溫義擁抱，其實，她並非不尊重尚有一次挑戰機會的趙常玲，而是為自己喝采。

「我想告訴大家，我做到了！」許淑淨笑說。
