九合一選舉今(29)日舉行投開票，民進黨籍市長候選人鄭文燦，小幅度贏國民黨候選人吳志揚，鄭文燦競選總部已自行宣布當選，鄭文燦晚間8時05分左右到競選總部發表感言。

鄭文燦除了感謝選民支持，也感謝民進黨主席蔡英文及前主席蘇貞昌的鼓勵、幫忙，他期許自己未來能夠「更清廉、更謙卑」，希望能夠翻轉桃園。

而前副總統呂秀蓮晚間也現身鄭文燦總部，除了恭賀鄭文燦當選，也表示很開心民進黨重新桃園執政。選民在台下揮舞旗幟，大喊口號「新桃園、新市長」。
