Samsung to host Tizen developer conference in China

Samsung Electronics will host a Tizen Developer Summit in Shanghai, China, during October 20-21, to promote the Tizen OS among China-based IT vendors and application developers, according to South Korea-based Aju Business Daily.
Being one of the most active members of the Tizen Association, Samsung has launched Tizen smart watches and digital cameras and plans to launch Tizen smartphones in the India market in fourth-quarter 2014.
Samsung hopes to boost adoption of Tizen for consumer electronics in China whose smartphone and smart TV markets are being dominated by local vendors.
