家庭劇院--擴大機故障--想改用電腦撥放影音

小弟於八年前購買了一套家庭劇院
日前發現擴大機無法開機，詢問了多間廠商都不建議維修

而且現在DVD使用率感覺也越來越低
所以小弟打算把整套的音響設備連接到電腦上,用電腦當播放機
捨棄掉擴大機與DVD不用
但是不知該從何下手,想請問各位大神
5.1喇叭是否在PC上安裝一張音效卡,就可以直接使用??

或者連接還是必備擴大機?
目前擴大機音源輸入為光纖
所以是否要先維修好擴大機,再買張音效卡有光纖輸出,連接擴大機
再將顯卡的HDMI連接到電視?

還請各位大大多多指導與指教!!

目前音響型號為
擴大機---DENON AVR-1706(無法開機)
播放機---Pioneer DV-490V(當初買,有夠貴,現在也應該快壽終正寢了...)
喇叭--- 5聲道 ELAL 重低音 Dyna Quest
